how easy is rotary accent install??
how easy is rotary accent install??
do they just snap right on in 2 seconds or is there some finessing involved. also is there something holding them on so some dork does not rip them off in 2 seconds and put on their ride? thanks also who has the cheapest price on them thanks
The install is very easy.
You just prep the surface area with some alcohol based cleaner that is provided in the kit, attach some double stick adhesive strips and then put the accents on. The front accents also have 2 tapper screws to hold them in place. It took me less than 5 minutes to install.

I'm all thumbs, so if I can do it, anyone can. The rear accent took all of two minutes - as jsplit says, you simply stick it on. Just be sure to prep the surface - I cleaned it with some rubbing alcohol, and then followed through with the supplied prep packet, which may have been overkill. I did find that the tapper screws for the front accent were a little fragile, as they're plastic instead of metal, and they don't really screw in, either - you just kinda push them into place. I almost bent one trying to force it in, but with the help of a small wooden shim I pushed them both in all the way with no trouble. (A putty knife would work too.)
The accents look great, by the way. The rear rotary in particular provides a visual break from all that black plastic and meshes nicely with the silver exhaust tips. My only complaint: They should have been stock, darn it.

, it's not like they're gonna put it on their Civics .. GRRR.
I'd have to guess Trussville. Google Trussville Mazda and go to their Parts page. Select RX8, and voilá.
Accents, especially the rear, are SUPER easy to install. Strakes are a piece 'o cake as well.
