coilover idea?

i am planning on some coilovers, and i was thinking. when you first put on coilover and lower the car it usually stays that way and the threads get dirty/rusty and it makes it difficult to change the height again. has anyone figured out a way to protect the threads? i was thinking some antiseize and maybe a shrinkwrap tube placed over the threads. would this work or will it get messed up?

I just squirt some WD40 on the threads before I move the collars. Never had a problem in the 10 years or so I've been running coilvers (on various cars) here in Oregon. At worst, you need to clean the threads below the collar quickly adter spraying the WD40.
