I'm so happy right now because I just got my 2005 RX8 today. What I want to know more is about the extended warranty that mazda offers. I know that it will cover only the engine up to 8 years or 100,000 miles, but I don't know if it's automatically extended for every RX8 or I have to go to the dealer and pay for it. How can I check if the car still has the warranty? From my research, if the car still has one, it can be transfered, am I right?

the engine is warrantied 8 years, 100,000 miles.
the original warranty was 4 years, 50,000

how many miles on your car now?
warranties can be transferred if it is still eligible

 

You won't have to pay for any Mazda factory warranty that remains on the car.

 

you dont have to go to the dealer for anything as long as its under 100k your automatically covered

 

The car mileage is abt $62000

I got mine about a year ago, with about that many miles. One thing is to go to the dealer and get the service history pulled, then you know if you have to worry about the engine.
