Victoria/Melbourne Painting

Hi Guys, Picking up a spoiler for my Velocity red girl on the weekend, I could paint it myself, but wouldn't get as good a job done as a professional, anyone in the Melbourne area know of any good places that are reputable/ have gone there before for parts painting?

Thanks in advance.

You can try Victor at Jetspeed Melbourne.

They were the only place that matched my 3 layer white pearl perfectly on fiberglass.

They also specialise in aftermarket painting and fitment!

If you go this route mention my name, and say the white rx8, he will do you a better deal

You can ask Cromax or Auzoom about the quality of the work, they have both seen it

Regards
Jason

Called them first off and spoke to a lady on the phone who was actually a little rude to me and wanted me to leave my car there for a couple of days for paint matching, i respectfully declined because i was a little worried about my baby,
she then said to me something that really put me off..
Lady: "what’s wrong dont you trust me? its only an RX-8..I have alot nicer cars here than that"
To which i replied: "to be honest sweetheart I couldn’t care less about your cars, I only care about mine!"

So I was almost not going to to drop it off – I’m in client services and you DONT mess with the client and insult them - especially a car fanatics car...anyway, went there from (and only because) of your recommendation Tofu and spoke to a guy who was really really nice and really helpful, didn't even mention about leaving the car there and was really nice and professional, Ill pick it up on Tuesday. 

yea you spoke to Fiona on the phone, she always comes of as abit rude when you first meet her.

But yea once you get to know her you just find thats how she is, trust me been there done that.

Victor is the owner of the place, top bloke, really nice guy, his the one that has done all the work on my car.

As we are speaking his installing all my gauges and my pod gauges at the moment.

All the best with the spoiler! hope it turned out the way you wanted it to.

Im presuming you have been there in the last couple of days!...The fact that something has been said to you kind of says it all - ...well I'm still waiting for a response from them before I post the email I sent the orginisation yesterday-

however what I CAN say now that the work was fantastic, really really well matched and great, I also saw your car up getting some work done - I love that spoiler you have!

Sorry Tofu, this is not personal - please dont take it as such. If i get a response from them shortly this is all I shall say.

PM me if you wish.

There are always 2 side of the stories, so if you want to make an informed decision, you have to hear from both sides.

Exactly!

However I'm quite over it now, I don't want to create issues with other members. It really isn't my intention.

In the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter.

You cant go cheap with Velocity red because of the pearl in it. If you see the resprayed parts on my car you can see the constant gold/fleck/pearl throughout the paint.

Why don't you paint it yourself? It doesn't have to be the same colour as the car ... you could make it green or yellow - both suit the red. Or just leave it unpainted and be fully sik re!
