Ive notice my 2004 rx8 gt 6 speed. Has a noisy transmission. While the car is on and the clutch is out the transmission has a consistant sort of whine or spinning sound. When the clutch is pushed in, whatever is inside the transmission stops spinning and all is well.

Any ideas? Other than the everything is perfect, no grinding, gears feel good.

I just purchased it with 72000km on it. Could be time for a transmission fluid change?

but also change your gear oil if its never been done or if you aren't sure if it has.
