Alright, I have no idea what to do next. I have a high pitched sound / whine that I narrowed down to coming from the tweeter behind the rear bumper fasia. It happens all the time, car on or off, armed or disarmed. Only time it will go away is if I disconnect the battery or unplug the tweeter. Arm and disarm still chirps, car runs fine, just that constant high pitched sound coming from the back.

Any ideas? I am fresh out!

 

So you have an aftermarket back up alarm? I would go to the place that installed it and ask them "why" it's doing what it's doing.

 

No, sorry no aftermarket anything. 100% stock shinka 2006 The tweeter I am talking about is the one that makes the chirps when you arm / disarm the car. It also goes away when I pull the 15a "Room" fuse.

 

What happened to them honking the horn?

 

06 only honks the horn if you press the lock twice, and not at all when unlocking.

 

To add to the diagnostics:

If I disconnect the battery, and leave the doors open, then reconnect the battery, the sound does not return until I have closed the doors.
