RX-8 Best Cars Under $20K (C+D)

When Mazda introduced the RX-8 for 2004, brand purists feared that the insertion of back seats would mark the beginning of the end of rotary-powered sportiness. In fact, those loyalists had nothing to fear: The car turned out to be amazing to drive, and its four-place configuration gave the RX-8 one of the most practical cabins of any sports car. With two comparison-test victories and three 10Best awards, the RX-8 is a perennial C/D favorite. And as it turns out, used examples are shockingly affordable.
Well, if you want to buy new, the "affordable" sports car segment is pretty much dead, so the next best thing is a used one. It's good the 8 made the list. Look at some of these newer loaded vehicles such as the 370Z, Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger...now they all top out at over 40K, which is ridiculous.
I know people complain about depreciation on the 8, but relative to any other sporty/sports car I don't think the 8 is any worse than anything else out there.

Z's, Mustangs and Camaros aren't getting the kinds of discounts, because those cars sell themselves.
