I just noticed I have rust starting on both rear fenders in the wheel well. I noticed 2005's have rust protection. The warranty said 5 years, and 50k miles for the motor, but I think the warranty is now at 100k miles for the motor isnt it? Is the rust still just 5 years?

I have a 2004 and i only get rust on one side. I had it fixed once, but it is starting to come back. The right rear wheel well is where i have rust . I foget how long the warranty is for rust.

 

Get some Hammerite Rust Cap paint. That's whut I use on 1st gen's 7's with lots of rust. It paints right on top of rust just sand and rinse it a bit first. It has micro crushed glass and a plastic like poly. Put double coat after 15 mins.
