The R8 Look
The R8 Look
Hey guys, I was bored and decided to mess around in PS. I have a copper red shinka, and I thought carbon fiber back doors might look kinda cool if done right, so I threw something together. This was not my idea originally; I just improved upon it. Let me know what you think/flame away.
I wouldnt personally do it but to be honest it doesnt look horrible or anything.
I like that you kept the line of red at the top of the door.
Youd just need some black rims to go with it =]

I think that's about the best it could look, and I still get the impression every other time I look at it that it's a door that couldn't afford to be painted. That's what most of my friends think too.
Still fun to photochop and see though.
Thanks for the input guys.

Changing the doors on a street car is not a good idea. The doors on the 8 is part of the structural integrity. When the front and rear door are closed they create the B pillar. A CF replaced door will not have this built into it.

I'm not planning on doing it, I'm to iffy about the look to spend some $1200 on it plus some for the paint. And if it doesn't form the B pillar like the stock door does, then that's another reason not to get it. Plus, that $1200+ could be used for a number of other awesome mods :P
Again, thanks for the input guys. Just wanted to share the product of my boredom and see what others thought.

personally the only way I would do carbon doors would be if I did all of them, and only after doing hood, fenders, both bumpers, and trunk, and then I would paint the rest of the car black for less contrast.
