hard to go into reverse

So, i just got my rx-8 about 2 weeks ago and i must say i love it so far. i am having some issues with the transmission though. the two main problems im having is the car is hard to get into reverse. Sometimes it will go into reverse with no trouble but then sometimes i will put it in reverse and start going and it will grind so i have to stop the car and put it back in reverse and try it again until i can get it into reverse. the other problem im having and it isn't really a problem but more of a question. when i first start the car up in the morning and i let off the clutch you can hear this kind of buzzing sound coming from the tranmission. i know on the mazda 3 it didn't do this and i just didn't know if this is normal or not. the car only has 16,000 miles on it and is a 06 so it still still covered under warranty if anything goes bad.

Take it to the dealer. You have warranty.

so you think i should take it into the dealer? the only problem with that is if they do have to replace something i will be without a car for how ever long it takes. i duno about you but i kinda love driving my rx8 to work everyday . i guess i will try and change the transmission fluid this weekend and see what happens. Any tips on changing the transmission fluid. i have noticed though when i let the car warm up a little bit it doesn't do it as often

I and a couple of others I know have that issue. It's kind of a pain, but give it a bit of gas while putting it in gear, and it'll go.

so i should rev it a little when shifting down into reverse. i will try that tomorrow then. i just don't like to hear that grinding noise because i feel like im destroying the transmission. i know the in the mazda 3 MT transmission it was a lot more forgiving when it came to stuff like this. i think out of the 2 years i had the mazda 3 i grinded gears 3 times and so far in the week of owning the rx8 i have grinded gears like 6 times ( all in reverse )
