well i never bought them.. the car used to belong to mazda canada's marketing president.. so he wanted all the speed accessories on the car to show it off.. eg speed kit, brakes, exhaust, intake , spoiler and rims, all that was an additional 16000 on top of the 44 000 price the car cost.. so once he was done with it.. my dealership picked up the car.. then 3 years down the road no one bought it and then eventually i did 5 months ago for 20 000 , 2006 gt 6spd with only 13 000 miles on it.

okay guys here are the pics that i promised i love the rims, however i want some 19's on the car like i said im willing to do a trade as well.

 

I haven't seen these rims in person ever, so I'm not positive on this. From the Mazda website, the magnesium rims don't say Forged Monoblock, Made in Japan, etc. around the outside and have a Forged Mag sticker on one of the spokes. They appear to be the "plain" MS-01S. Still super nice rims that are made by Rays, just like Volk. edit: I missed the most obvious thing. The magnesium ones only came in gold it seems. 18x8 8.0kg

 

I hate to say this, but I believe that he is correct. if you look closely at the two, the indentation surrounding the centercaps are different as well. The mags' are a full concave curve which doesn't end until just inside of the lugs whereas the aluminums' indentation has a curve which stops about half-way through the lug. This in combination with the other markings (i couldn't imagine that after spending that much on magnesium rims, I would remove the "forged mag" markings), leads me to think that these are the aluminums as well. I could be wrong though. I'm no pro.

 

my mistake everyone.. i called my old work, they told me they are the aluminum version of the rims not the magnesium.. and then i made a search and found them. have a look price wise the aluminums are 700 a piece from what i was told.. so heres the link to them you can see the difference between the mags and aluminum..

If you look at the site that Speed 8 linked to, the rims now go for $537 each brand new, so I imagine if they are still for sale they would be a lot cheaper.
