Can I Do This?

All, I have an 09 and am researching replacing the Bose Hu with a Nav unit. The question I have, is if I replace the HU, can I use the existing Bose speakers and amp? Or do I have to replace them as well? If I can use them, what do I need, to make it work?

I put it in my car but hooked up a car pc instead of messing with all the nav wiring.
Youll keep the bose stuff though.

Thanks. really looking to just replace the HU instead of going the carputer route, I think.

So if I replace my head unit, can I just run speaker level wires to drive the bose amp and speakers and then use pre amp outputs to drive a sub and amp?

yes you'd have to separate and find just the speaker level wires though. The bose/amp system just has regular wires like all other simpler headunit-wires-amp-wires-speaker system.

Now that's a good idea. I will have a look around to see how much they go for. Maybe those would pay to change out all the Bose speakers as well. I could probably sell the whole system.
