Big City Car Washing advice?

So I just moved from a smaller community with a house, driveway, hose and all the good stuff and room you need to wash/wax your car.

Now I live in a little apartment with street parking....
How do you guys go about washing your cars if you are in a similar situation? just take over a car wash bay for a day, or make some friends with a driveway?

I have the same situation. Where I live there are no "do-it-yourself w/quarters" car washes around, so I look for hand car washes, where they wash your car without brushes or machines. Not as good as washing it yourself, but the next best thing. Figure I can remove the inevitable swirl marks when the car gets detailed.

I have friends in the 'burbs about an hour out of town. They let me use their driveway whenever I visit. Good excuse for a fun drive – plus they feed me.

I have a buddy from my VW past that does and awesome wax/wash for $35. In between wax jobs I use the DIY/quarter gig.
