I finally did my spring detail. Another grueling 6 hour event. This year instead of using my hands to apply the stuff, I used a Meguiars G110 Dual action polisher. It's about $160, I bought direct from Meguiars Canada (located in Brampton). The device works very well. The construction of the device is of excellent quality as well. It feels very sturdy and is full of metal parts. The power cord is thick and heavy duty. Overall a very well made product.

One might think you save time with this machine; you can save a little bit of time.... doing the 3 step Meguiars process, saved me about 1 hour in total. The strain and exercise on your body is the same though. What you had in the past was a light weight applicator pad to which you held and rubbed hard onto the paint surface. Now, it's replaced with a HEAVY device that does the rubbing in for you. Now you have to move this heavy object all over the surface of your car, it's still tiring in the end.

Furthermore, when you're done each panel, you would stop to wipe off the stuff (step 1 and step 2). The only time when you never have to stop to wipe off is the step 3 which is the carnauba wax.

Very simple to use, I would recommend it to anyone if you're serious about detailing your car.
