I have a 2007 RX-8 with the factory radio with the dealer installed iPod integration module. I was wondering if anyone had information on installing a Sirrius radio in the car. I called the dealer and it was around $200. When I bought the car I paid about that for the iPod connector.

I purchased a cable with a female iPod connector and an aux plug. When I attach the Sirrius radio through this connection, after about 30 sec. the radio shuts off. I guess it is not getting any data back from the Sirrius (like it would from the iPod so it thinks nothing is there and shuts off).

Do they make a kit or connector to use the Sirrius with the RX-8? Is there another plug behind the radio that I could access to use the Sirrius or is this something only the dealer can do?
