any reason why the cops were called?

 

i would guess since he was shooting on private property and they we're offering to hit him with trespassing.

yup they thought we were spray painting or some ****, and of corse in my small town they sent 4 squad cars and 2 suv's with dogs, buy yes we did get some nice pics and got away with a warning

small towns + trespassing usually means they're rolling a few units your way.
Glad the police were nice but I'm sure they weren't too fond of you climbing up there to take pics.

It depends on the economics or rather, wealth around the area and not the size. I say that because I grew up in small country towns and the most you would get is 1 cop car. Maybe if it's a very rich and flourishing town with a lot of business would such happen which case in point it would where I live now.

Ah, but that was before the buckets of Homeland Security money that went up for grabs. When the locals around here host a music festival, an armored car shows up for "security", and baby formula gets dumped on the ground at the Checkpoint Charlies.

 

Again, it all depends on the area and economics of it I still believe. In the country side you won't get more than a few local cop cars in a town even with events.
