RX8 2003 JOBD upgradable to JOBDII?

RX8 2003 JOBD upgradable to JOBDII?
I have imported RX8 2003 from Japan to Korea. All imported vehicle in Korea need to have OBDII, EOBDII or JOBDII. I've checked my car and my RX8 has JOBD. Is there any method to upgrade JOBDII or OBDII? I can see that there is a software called APEX RX8 Flash which can flash the OBD. I'm not sure if JOBD is simply can be flashed to JOBDII without changing the hardware. Anyone have idea?
