JAX Cruise

So I was thinking that depending on the weather next weekend we should try a jax cruise like the 295 loop then to st augustine or orange park to st augustine then back up 16 to like green cove or summin. Anyone interested, if so leave ideas for destinations. maybe like sat afternoon or sunday. what do you think

Any of you Jax guys know any Rx8s being sold locally? I can only find a few at dealerships... and the local guys on craigslist don't answer to their listings.

I know that the Mazda dealership on blanding has two manuals on the lot. And check out carmax's web site. even if there is not one in town, if there is one close they can ship it.

Thanks for the welcome! Anyone know which Mazda dealer in Jax is not shady? I usually never use stealerships for ANYTHING, but with reflashes and updates, visits to the dealer seem somewhat mandatory at times with this car. I live in baymeadows, and the dealer on Phillips sucks. First off, when I first started looking for a rotary, they tried to sell me a FC with a busted radiator. They new in advance that it was broke, and when I noticed they did the whole "buy it and we will fix it" ****... obviously I didn't. Well, after I bought my RX, I took it up to make sure all the updates and recalls had been taken care of, since I got it from Carmax. While they were doing the latest pcm update, I asked about the 100000 mile 8 year core warranty. The service manager tried to tell me that since I bought it from a dealer not a private seller that the warranty was void... I called Mazda of North America and the guy there actually said "that dealer is full of ****" in regards to the warranty. Anywho, I know that, since those guys are obviously not to be trusted, that I need to find another 'home base" of sorts. any input on the other dealers here?

I bought my 8 from tom bush also (mazda city). the manager in auto repair is a good guy and always down to help an rx8 owner that knows how to take care of their car. i've had a lot of help from him when i first got my car and learned also. the sellers were shady to me and bunch of ****** in my opinion.

I had an overall good experience with tom bush and i'm really glad i can say that, because initially i was harassed by this belligerent salesman who smelled like alcohol. he was cussing me out and wouldnt let me leave. i talked to the dealership manager (who sold my mom an FC in the 80's) and he was promptly fired after 25 years of service. I will definitely consider them first when buying a new car in the future and will always promote their name.

well my car is falling on me it hesitates to go on low rpm and when trying to start it also hesitates but gets it in one try. not until after 3500 rpm does it act normal. i changed the spark plugs yesterday and it looked like the car never had its 60k inspection. i have 80k now and bought the car with 65k from tom bush. i've seafoamed the car and helped a lot cuz before the car would stall on idle if a/c was on. i bought some maf cleaner, an optima battery. going to clean the terminals and the throttle body again to see if that helps. i hope it just the coils and the engine compression is fine. i also took an arm and bought the BHR ignition system since they last longer and are great benefit over stock setup and last longer. just sucks it will take three weeks to get here.

any ideas of what else i can try.
