Need to find oil cooler

I was driving on a back road a couple days back and a deer ran in front of the car. I ended up pitting my rx8 in a ditch trying to avoid hitting it. The radiator is pushed back and bent from what I can see it looks fine but I have yet to remove it, the drivers side oil cooler is cracked, the splash tray is gone and the car was leaking coolant and oil.

Where would be the best place to go to buy a replacement OEM oil cooler for cheap, I tried googling but all that came up were universal fit oil coolers.

any suggestions would help greatly!

I'm in the same boat, sans deer. I had my engine replaced and when I asked about oil coolers since mine had 95000 miles and are functionally flat now; the mechanic looked at me like I was asking him to lift the Titanic and quoted me a ridiculous price. All the aftermarket stuff look "universal" and not what I need. Though I have found more stuff on adding a 3rd oil cooler.

Thanks All. Charlie at Mazcare in Atlanta suggested the same; I trust his word after being at his shop and seeing the legends he was working on. Not looking forward to removing my nose....again. Those little pop rivets are bastards to replace if you break one. But it beats dropping 2000 to a dealership guy who doesn't want to work on my car locally.

Next time - depending on your insurance coverage, just hit the deer instead of going in the ditch. They'll cover it as no fault. (You have to say "the deer hit me" tho). Sad but true.

Doesn't work with humans.
