Chrome across bumper?
I thought I saw this somewhere but maybe I'm dreaming it up. Has anyone seen a bumper with horizontal chrome bars (maybe two or three) that are about 1/2" thick or so...and go across the opening of the bumper? They would look like the chrome you can see sometimes on the side of the car near the front fender vents...
Anybody have any ideas? Thanks a lot, -Joe

Just wanted to let you guys know...I was searching and I came across the PEP-boys stick on billet grille mod. That's not what I'm talking about, but it is similar. I admit it's very nice, but I'm looking for something with 2-3 lines. Something similar to the Chrysler Crossfire...

Troy Lee's is one of a kind. The way to go about custom making one for yourself, though, would be to buy a Ford F-350 grill (more than big enough to handle the RX's grill dimensions), measure your dimensions for the RX8 grill, and cut it. The 99 F-350 grill only costs around $150, so it's a pretty cheap mod if you don't consider the time you spend on it.
I did this on my Honda accord with a Black Widow kit, I custom built a grill for all the vents on the front grill. It ends up looking really nice. You have to be careful cutting the grill, though, since the billet bars are only held together with the vertical support bars behind the horizontal billet aluminum, and it's really easy to bend/break.
Prepare yourself for a lot of work if you want to go this route, though. Mounting it requires some fabrication creativity, too.
