ON Black Matte Finish

I went to the Toronto Autoshow in February and saw an R8 from Pfaff Porsche in a matte black finish. It looked unbelievable and of course the first thing I thought of was "how would this look on my RX8?"

Just curious, how much do you think a matte black finish would cost? Currently my car is Brilliant Black.

thanks

Well, to fully repaint your car ordinarily, it'd probably cost around $2k-$3k. I'd imagine matte black is similar.

Most of the matte black finishes are vinyl. They cost less and can be removed whenever.

like silvere8 said, it's a vinyl wrap.. still gonna cost anywhere from $2-4 grand if you want it done right.

if you go cheap on it you can really screw up your paint when you remove the vinyl

well since you have a black car to start with, I would say about $30 worth of sand paper would do it,,,

lol try it. just go over your whole car with some 2500 grit sandpaper. if you hate the look give it a polish and then you have your shine back.(and any swirlmarks gone)

I really love the matte paint, but I imagine it looks better in photos than in person. But give it a try the sandpaper should work out just fine!
