damaged cat

my cat is messed up. the check engine light came on the first couple times of start up but has been off ever since. sometimes when i start my car is runs real ruff and wont run smooth unless i give it some revs and then it runs perfect until i let my car sit for a while in the cold and have to restart it. will this hurt my car with the cat not working properly? or can i just drive it aournd. like i said, the car runs fine after i rev it a few times after the initial start up.
thanks,

IMHO it may not be the CAT.........yet.
When was the last time you changed your plugs? Could be a fouled one.....perhaps.
How many miles on your coils?
How may times have you flooded it so far......cause I'll bet you got one coming soon!

Might wanna wait for someone with more experience than I, but that's my two cents.

Oh........and driving like that is only gooing to make things worse in the long run.

Okay......well.....yeah.........you didn't mention that!

You can bore it out......there are threads on that.
Go catless with mid-pipe
Buy used one? But.....it is under warranty for 8 years 80k miles, so if your under that then go get one!

This is in the wrong section. You do not have a 2009 or up.

The problem is you are polluting more than the icelandic Volcano and are causing global warming and increased taxes.

How did you come to the conclusion he doesn't have a S2?

No one person, even in their whole life time, can create as much "pollution" as any volcano.
