My new MOMO shift ****

I recently bought the MOMO F-16 EVO shift **** in Carbon after researching a whole lot about every shift in Production!! BTW, for all of you team voodoo revolutionaries, i have tried their pearl **** from my friends miata on my car, and it just didnt work for me. First of all, it was much shorter then stock, making me bump the navi controls when i shifted, and also if anything making the throws longer not shorter, it felt nice, but i shift with my thumbs up anyways, and for my shift ****, (probly gonna be my only interior mod) style really matters. I also decided that the stock shift **** itself was a little too short, and too small for my taste (i have pretty big hands) So i decided on the F-16 EVO from momo which i felt best matched the lines of the car, (spheres just dont go with the RX8). Originally hesistant because the **** was a set screw type, but after installing it, OMG, IT FELT F@&!ING AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I gives the car a much better, more precise feel then stock, bringing it much closer to the snickety style of an s2000, no joke!!. IT really did make a difference, and it looks freaking awesome!!. Anyways, here are the pics:

Tell me what you guys think!!!

wow, that looks pretty snazzy

how do you guys like the oem shift ****? i think it looks very pretty but when i actually grip it it feels a bit small and the rotor shape is not perfectly ergonomic, though i still like it a lot

I think the MOMO is too big. I love the original one, it feels just right. It just looks a little funny that the head of the stick is bigger then the entire body of the stick. But everyone has their own tastes that's why we modify our cars so GRATS on your new toy!!!..

p.s. - Not that I would want it, but I think the stick on the new WRX Sti is awesome looking and feeling, not that I'd want a Sti

i don't like it, i think it looks ugly and it looks like you're in for a longer throw...

Looks like a snake getting ready to strike. Pretty cool. But I like the factory shift **** pretty well too for the unique rotary shape and the weight.

And speaking of weight... is the Momo much lighter? I suspect it is, and if so, how does this affect the shift feel? I would think it would make it feel a bit lighter, and not quite as "dampened" as the weight of the factory shift **** would do for the linkage.

Two more questions: How much did that thang set you back, and where did you get it? Thanks...

I had that same concern initially, but it is in fact barely lighter, and provides what i percieve to be a much more dampened feel. I suppose this is due to the shape and construction of the ****, the gears seem much easier to find, and the throw is improved especially when downshifting. It cost me 90 bucks, i got it from www.sounddomain.com

Actually I was thinking of getting the pearl Voodoo Miata **** (pistol grip style) and it's good to know it's probably shorter than the Mazda ****. That means a shorter effective throw. Thanks.

For me, the Momo is too jet-boy looking. Sorry.

They have a bunch of colors, in leather i think they have black, red, and blue, and they have a wood, or carbon fiber finish
