Hi, i recently took out my 6 spd tranny out of my 04. and am going to be putting in a newer 08 tranny w 20k on it. but the old tranny i am taking apart for school, but for some reason i can not get the bell housing off and the middle section i can get off partial, but will not come off all the way. i heard that the tranny needs to be tipped up but not sure if it needs to sit on the bell housing or the seal ( due to needle bearings ) plz help!!!

 

i got the tear down. it was through a program we have at school. ( shop key ) they have the complete step by step teardown. not sure if it is open to public but if u can get access to it, it is very helpfull
