R3 rear splash guards?

been looking at splash guards for my R3. I think the rear bumper is the same as the non-R3 versions. so the rear splash guards should be the same.

they have OEM painted ones, just not my color which is blue.

anyone knows where I can get unpainted ones or even better painted.

Gotcha. Still I have not seen splash guards for the 09+ RX8. Have any pics of what you are looking for?

Look like M'z Custom has something for the rear bumper. No idea on the cost or available colors. I know JapanParts.com can get their parts though.

$800 is outrageous! Japanparts lists the bumper for $900 and the rear under spoiler for $457. Do you have a link to where you saw the price for the rear pieces?

Looks like they are around $370 on the M'z Custom site. Of course that is before shipping and I assume painting. Email Yuki at yuki@japanparts.com to see what he can get them for. Looks like you can get the part number from the PDF at the link below. I'd also ask him about the other splash guards you are interested in.

I asked the local Mazda dealer if they would fit. The parts department called Mazda and was told they would not fit the R3. I also think the non R3's have the same rear bumper but I can't verify it cause none of the Mazda dealerships in my area carry RX8's. The last dealership in my area to carry a RX8 had an 09 R3 on their lot for atleast a year.

I parked my car next to my friends R3 -- and if there is a difference neither of us could tell.

As far as I've ever seen or heard the only exterior differences between the R3 and other S2 RX8s are the front bumper and the side skirts. The back bumper and all the other body panels should be the same.

After comparing several pics I was starting to think the same thing. I'll probably try to find a set of used ones first before shelling out $150+ at the dealership.
