Lambo doors

Hey all, i saw the post for the lambo style doors and looked into it for a little while. However i came to notice with the ones posted on this forum, you have to push out then lift from bottom up.. EHK!

Does anyone know where you can purchase or even if its a local car shop (approximate price)? for the real type.. I suppose they have a hydrolic in it for it to go up and down instead of push and lift?

Please post!

This is the only place I've seen doors that you can retrofit. Some fun stuff there too.

Hmm, do you know how much they cost?

From the video it seemed as if u had to push the door out again.. i'm not quite sure but in a lambo don't the doors just raise without a push outwords?

Yes, on a Countach, Diablo, or Murcielago, the scissor doors just lift straight up. Then again, the entire car was designed around that fact. Unless you're going to take on some major re-welding of the entire side chassis frame and re-engineer the whole door opening, you can't have that. You might as well want a mid-engine like the "lambo"s have, it would be as much work to transplant the Renesis to the back seat.

By the way, other Lamborghinis like the new Gallardo, and the older Jalpa, Uracco, Miura, Jarama, Espada, etc. all had conventional doors. "Lambo" doors is a misnomer - they're called "scissor" doors.

Regards,
Gordon

whoa! really?

the other post of the lambo doors (the cheap kind that had no hydrolic that you had to manually lift) was approximately that same price!

I hope this is true!
