Do you have an 04? In later years they put a Airbag button there

 

it's not really a button. it is really just an indicator light for the passenger airbag. i believe jdm 8's always had the light there but they only started putting those in at least after sometime in 2005 as my 05 doesn't have one but my 07 did.

 

Yeah, my 07 has the little light saying if the airbag is off. It only turns off if the weight is in a certain range. Like with my computer in teh front *LAN parties weee*, then the airbag turns off.

 

Yep, its the passenger airbag on/off sensor in later models. Models w/o the sensor just have a plastic plug. Personally, I dislike the lights when they put them in awkward places.

 

People always think it's a button, so when they first sit in, they spend 5 minutes trying to push the 'button' and complain that it's busted.

*sigh*

 

Why are they trying to push buttons? You have some passengers that need hands slapped.

They are ********. Always screwing with my radio. I don't mind the airbag 'button', since it makes them look like reetee's.

I have the Racing Beat Gauge Pod so I relocated my lighter to that panel.

 

I've seen a guy in Europe drill a hole in it and mount a switch there... idk what it did, but it looked factory.

 

Here's one thing it's good for... mounting a DashDaq

 

Haha...get one of those fake stick on buttons and put it there to annoy your friends.

 

That's actually why I ask. I drilled a hole in it years back and put my subwoofer control **** on it. Now that I've ditched the audio gear (for being too heavy) there's a hole in the middle of it. Nobody has a spare they want to sell to me do they?

I mean it apparently will be a little while, my service manager just informed me they're replacing my engine, upper intake, and catalytic converter. That works out because I think those were the only original parts left on the car haha.
