its time for me to change my clutch.
and i am planning to change to exedy stage 1.
i asked this transmission shop near my house and
they estimated me $500 CAD.
he said about $400 CAD + some extra if they have to machine my flywheel.
is this normal??
how much does is usually cost??

$500 CAD doesnt sound unreasonable.

Dunno about you guys.

in NYC, it cost about 350 USD to change your clutch.

Get a new Flywheel with replaceable surface, New Pilot bearing, and Rear Tranny seal.

Tranny is coming down anyway, might as well, they shouldn't charge you any extra for them.

 

last time i had it done it was 410 bucks.. from a very reliable atlanta shop.. mazcare..

they went above and beyond..

Around 200€ is the average cost here for a clutch and flywheel swap.
What brings the cost up is the cost of the transmission fluids that you have to replace, the work per se takes less than 3hrs.

 

do i need to buy pilot bearing seperately or does it come with the clutch kit?
i am thinking of getting
bhr clutch or exedy stage1 kit that bhr sells.

 

what about labour???? hummm 337$ us for act stg 1 clutch and pressure plate and bearings+ 2 1/2 hours of labour at approx...68$/h at dealer

500% fair enough if you have a new pressure plate as well

 

i would go with thmotorsports for the act clutch kit... awesome price, in fact the best!

 

I dunno about BHR, but when I got my ACT, it came with the pilot and throwout bearing, Same thing for Exedy kit (cuz I took the ACT out)

 

I've seen prices from 400 to 800 bucks depending upon where you live and who you go to.
