I was interested in getting a carbon trunk lid but I don't want to leave it all carbon. I wanted to paint some and leave some carbon exposed, but I can't for the life on me think of a good way of doing that. I've scoured the site looking for example but could't find any. I have a '04 sunlight silver. I was thinking of getting a carbon hood and painting it all except the rotor shape and blacking out the roof but I want it to run into the trunk some how. Any help appreciated and if you have pics please post.

 

? just have it painted. you can paint cf.

someone did the paint-all-but-the-rotor-indention, i think it looked good.

someone also painted on the top of the trunk and left the "back" of it cf (or vice versa). also looked good.

but anyway, just buy it and take it straight to the paint shop...easy.

another idea would be to get the cf pieces wrapped...that way if you ever change your mind you can go back to cf just buy pulling the wrap off.

 

mine is not CF, but these pics could help give you an idea of how it might look. i have blacked out tail lights as well as a Vertex Lang lip spoiler.

 

I was looking for ideas on paint some of the trunk but not all of thus leaving some exposed cf, trying a looking at ways to flow from a blacked out roof into a cf trunk while having some still paint sunlight silver.

 

Ill get some pics up tommorrow, i havent posted any in awhile. I have the back of my trunk painted black between the taillights... My ings spoiler and top of the trunk is white like the rest of the car. Looks great i think, and would look even better as Cf.

New 8 owner with a naked rear. Looking to add a spoiler or lip. The Ing lip spoiler looks very cool, can it be found for less than $600 to 700? If not (600 is out of my price range), any preferences on the racing beat lip versus Evo-R, versus Vertex Lang?
