Mazda NOT selling new short blocks????

Hunting engines for a friend, her car lost compression.
Interesting find; Mazda is not selling new engine short blocks in North America?

WTF?

Anyone know why?

have they before? Can't say I've heard of peopel buying new short blocks straight from MNAO.

funny.... in China they don't sell the apex seals but offer the short block for $7k...

Probably because they are faulted and will fail, they don't want more warranty issues.
