When we are wrapping out 3rd gear the coolant light comes on. Doesn't do it in any other gear. Or if u stay in 3rd gear for a long period at just at 5k-7k rpms it will come on. Its a 06 AT with slap shift 6 speed with 40k miles. Sorry I wld search for this but I don't have a computer to look up with. I'm using my phones internet. Its all I got. Thanks much!

 

It's a normal condition when the coolant over flow bottle level sensor goes bad.
You need a new bottle.
Might want to check the coolant level and make sure it's full. One never knows.

 

you can try to clean it or replace it. most people end up replacing it.

 

i just unplugged my sensor and i monitor my coolant when i fill my oil

 

Add a small amount(8-12 ozs) of distiled water to the reservoir it will probably stop doing it.
