For sale is my beautiful discontinued color Winning Blue 2004 Mazda RX-8 6 speed with a brand new remanufactured engine and catalytic converter installed at Mazda of Oakland picked up on 09/14/09. The new engine is currently being broken in with less than 275 miles. The body and chassis has 71xxx miles. I am the original owner and this car has always been a California car, first purchased from Santa Monica Mazda in January 2004. I have original bill of sale. The engine is still under warranty for 28k more miles or 2 plus years, whichever comes first. This car has been meticulously maintained, fully documented, with all service records. All factory recalls done including an upgraded starter and battery. The high performance BF Goodrich KDW-2 tires have plenty of tread remaining. I replaced the ignition coils with the new OEM updated version and added Racing Beat sparkplug wires for performance and durability changed with in the last 3k miles. I added Redline synthetic MT-90 transmission fluid and Royal Purple synthetic 75W-90 differential fluid for longevity and performance. I added Project u street brake pads for better performance. New spark plugs and coolant was added with the new engine and the brake fluid is clean, changed within the last two years. I replaced the amber turn signals with Japan spec clear ones for a much better and cleaner look.
This car also has a stealth high end audio system consisting of MB Quart Q series component speakers, JL 5 channel amplifier, JLw6 subwoofer with enclosure, JL 6by 9 rear speakers. By looking into the car there is no way you can tell that there was a nice sound system installed which was my goal. This system was professionally installed at Goodguys using Dynamat at certain locations and all connections with MonterCable. The Installer spent hours using a roller to apply the Dynamat evenly. This system sounds great and must be listened to appreciate. I use be a GoodGuys employee and friends with the installer so I got all the parts at cost and a great deal on the install. I have all receipts as well. Retail price for this system plus install would be well over $3000.00 but with my discounts I paid around $2000.00.
I am very meticulous about maintenance inside and out. I regularly wash, clay bar, and wax my car. I use 303 Aerospace protestant on plastic surfaces and regularly lubricate the hinges with synthetic lubricant. This car is accident free and all VIN numbers match. I would really love to keep this car but I have to let this one go.
There are a few dings and minor dents on the body but nothing major. A portion of the rear trunk carpet could use a reseating.

Very nice car at a very fair price. Unfortunatly, you are on the wrong coast. I am looking for just what you have, in the mid-atlantic area. Cars without the moonroof and the spoiler are hard to find. I expect it to sell quickly. Ironically, I once lived in Castro Vally.
