Question Question for those who've used Sea Foam or other cleaner

I have just installed the Sohn OMP adapter, and decided it'd be a good idea to clean out the carbon build-up in my engine. When I put the Sea Foam clean in (through the lower intake ports) and turned the engine over, I had smoke coming from the engine bay.

My question is: Has anyone who used Sea Foam, Zoom Zoom, or other engine cleaner had smoke come from the engine bay, in particular from the top of the engine around the upper intake? There was none spilled into the engine bay or leaking out onto the exhaust, etc, to eliminate that from the equation. I believe that I could have either vacuum line leak, upper intake issue, or gasket that is not sealing. I have other reasons to believe that there could be an intake problem or "air leak" problem, because I have a whistling type sound when decelerating between about 3500 and 2000 RPM. All of the couplers/reducers on my Greddy turbo are new, tight, and leak free. The engine has been replaced, and the upper intake has been removed before. A while back, I was under boost, and it seems like something gave way (not an apex seal), and the engine exhaust note changed a little, sort of like a droning sound. I'm using Cobb AP and it is not fully tuned yet, so it is running quite rich under boost, so I have confidence I don't have an apex seal issue. Sorry for the long list of details, but I wanted to eliminate repsonses that I have already considered.

I'd appreciate anyone that has any input on this.

A laser pointer can make it easier to visualize where the smoke is coming from.
