Flat battery
Every now and again I come to a flat battery.
I jump it off and all seems OK.
Once after driving for a few miles after one such event on stopping the engine the fan kept running. It ran for a few mins untill I deceided to switch the engine back on then off again. This stopped the fan. Is there a thermostat problem? Has anyone had similar experience? Does the fan automatically get turned on and it then runs the battery down?
Any ideas?

The radiator fans are designed to remain on for a time after the vehicle is shut off, as needed in hot weather and/or after a prolonged drive (as ECU/coolant temp sensor determined).
Check your alternator output; it should be around 14V.
Is your battery old and therefore not holding a charge as well as it should?
Is your trunk lid slightly ajar (trunk light on)? Any other aftermarket parasitic drains?
