Colder weather = POWA!

Here in Vegas it was 95-100degrees for the longest time but the past few days have been 65-70 degrees. My car loves the colder temperatures, my butt-dyno tells me good things every time i step on it. Life is good FREE POWA!

yeah the fall time is great for driving. Early mornings or late evenings with clear skies, and that nice and cold, crisp fall air, and you have a recipe for success. But it will probly end in disaster as i spinn off the road from over confidence...

spinning the tires seeems so much easier, any ideas what the power difference can be with a 40-50 degree temperature decrease? my butt dyno tells me 10-15%

but, sometimes it lies to me :P haha

You know what's funny though, I have had my previous cars dynoed year back during the winter (shop bay doors open) when it was very cold out (for Texas anyway) and my numbers were about the same on each car and really I was expecting a noticeable gain. Also my winter times at the drag strip were really no different than my summer times.

I just think its funny because I have heard people say for year how much more power they feel from their CAI's during the winter.

I hadn't heard any claims before I first noticed that feeling... might still be placebo (temperature making tires colder etc), but I always thought I noticed a difference.

Low temps make a big differance on turbo cars, in my Talon, I can lean out airflow the MAF sees by about 5% in winter without seeing any knock. Dense air is good.

i wish we had moisture here in the desert....when it gets in the deep of winter here its usually a dry 30-40 degrees, but no snow

although last year we did have snow for the first time in 30 years that stayed on the ground for longer than a day.
