Hi,

I have 2004 Japanese Import RX8 and having intermittent problems with my stereo. When I first start the car all the buttons work on the stereo and on the steering wheel. But after about a minute the buttond stop working and I can’t use any of them.The manual dial still works but that’s all. The buttons for volume, mode and mute on the steering wheel stop working as well.

I imagine a short fuse or a loose connection. But was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the front panel for the stereo, and if they had any ideas of what I should be looking for when I reveal all.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

there are lots of DIY threads for pulling the stereo. have a look around the DIY forum or search for head unit removal.
