I'm wondering what year did the RX8 START to include MP3 AUX support for their radio's ?? I assume it has it by now...my 04 - no luck.

 

they started in 06. My 05 no luck either. But there is an adapter or firmware update you can do.

 

i have an 07 and i dont have AUX ports in my rx8...
I know the 09's have them in center console, next to cig lighter.

 

^It probably was an option back then. Like an extra $300-400. Now its standard in just about every new car available execpt for VW's you still have to pay $200 for an aux port...

 

Hmmm thanks everyone for the info. I wonder what's the deal with the 2008's if THEY have it standard or not...

2004-2008: No aux port was ever standard on US models.

Ipod/aux ports available using CD changer port on back of radio through aftermarket or OEM add ons. Need firmware version 9.55 or higher to use this port. Options include Audiolink, XCarLink, Grom, Dice, or the OEM Mazda.

 

MY 2009, basically when they did the exterior/interior refresh.

Prior to that, only aftermarket solution using that simulate CD changer or SAT are available.

They started to have AUX first on 2007 Mazda3, that slowly carry to other models.
