Tokico D-spec extension cable is stuck

Okay, so I had my D-specs cranked all the way down to the hardest setting for about a month or so. I have the extension cables for the rear ones, and now the left rear cable adjustment **** is just stuck. I don't want to force the **** on the cable, because I'm afraid I'll break something.

Anyone come across this issue with the D-specs and the cables? The only way to get to the tops of the rear struts is to take them out, and I wanted to avoid that if possible. I'm just not sure how much force I should use to try and get the adjuster unstuck.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Take out your interior trim panel and spray some WD40 where the extension cable meets the top of the shock. That usually works on my JIC's.

It's pretty tough to get to the top of the strut, but I'll give it a try! Thanks.

I actually just installed a used set of D-Specs on my 8 last week. The guy I bought them from, another user on here, had some issues with his adjustment cable staying in the port. The short term fix was we crimped the steel braid and then taped the **** out of it.

Now, I haven't messed with them enough to know if you're going to break anything or not, but fluid has replacement adjusters for like 30 bucks if you do decide just to get new ones.
