Curbed my R3 wheels - what colour for touch-up paint?

I suppose it was inevitable for a car that is used as a daily driver - I rubbed one of my R3 wheels against the curb and.... aargh, curb rash!!! BTW - don't be fooled by the rubber rim protectors on the Bridgestone RE050A tires. They may protect from something bumping against a wheel, but they are useless against curbs.

I won't have an opportunity to get it repaired properly until the summers come off and the winters go on (don't want to be without a wheel for the length of time it takes to repair), so in the meantime I thought I might use some paint to touch up the now silvery rash area.

Does anyone know what official colour the gray R3 wheels are?

Lets see how bad it is. Sometimes touching up anything that is to deep or damage can be a lot of work and in some cases come out looking like more or an eye sore then it did originally.

do a google / super pages search for a wheel repair place.
A buddy of mine curbed his Volks, the guy came out to his work and had it repaired in about 2 hours.
how bad is the damage? Is the wheel damaged heavily or mostly paint damage?

I think the paint code is "platinum diamond titanium $100." Those rims are $$$$$$$ Good luck on the fix.

Hmm, I haven't seen that colour code in Canadian Tire...

I guess I should consider myself lucky. I managed only to scrape and scratch the paint along just 6 inches of the outside circumference of the rim. There is hardly any damage other than purely cosmetic. From just 10 feet away most people don't notice, even when I tell them I curbed the wheel and they're looking for it.

However, even without seeing it, the fact that it is there is constantly on my mind. Although it is semi-unnoticeable, the bright silver that is peeking out from under the "platinum diamond titanium gray" positively screams to get my attention every time I walk towards the passenger side of the car.

So, I guess I'll just pull some caps off a selection of gray paints and take them out to the parking lot to see which one comes closest. Once the touch up is done, then I'll have to grit my teeth and learn to live with it, at least until the winter tires go on and I can finally have the wheel repaired properly.
