I will try to explain this story to the best of my ability. I have posted multiple threads about my issues, none of which have been particularly devastating.

I have been bring my car in over numerous transmission issues; squeaking, squealing, grinding, bearings, clutch, clutch pedal, flywheel & pressure plate replacement...you get the point. Almost everything in my transmission has been replaced EXCEPT the damn bell housing. Ridiculous. Still...the car continues to squeak when the clutch is out.

I took in the car yesterday, and showed the service manager the problem. The rotary mechanic at the dealership is apparently almost suicidal over working on my car. "I have an itch in the back of my throat and the only thing that can scratch is a barrel of a gun" I think he said. Anyway, the service manager tells me that he suggested replacing everything. I mean....everything. Including the engine...

I don't blame the dealership for this but APPARENTLY Mazda told them to check the eccentric shaft to make sure it was within spec...because they believed that what the squealing was? Odd...because it goes away when I push in the clutch. So now...he is going to call Mazda again, tell them that I keep coming in and nothing is fixing the problem...and to replace everything.

I read the forums daily, and I have never heard any **** like this before ever. I can't tell who is inept right now...Mazda or the place I take my car to? Please discuss.

How much pressure do you need to put on the clutch before the squealing goes away?

they might as well gave u a brand new transmission to begin with. ---- probably cost them less.

Hmm, they can check the e-shaft but ----

maybe they should check your frame for damage (slight bent?)

 

Just a little bit of pressure is required to make the squealing stop. Just resting my foot on the clutch actually does it. I don't ride the clutch or anything, I'm pretty sure my transmission is healthy. Runs just fine...especially with all new parts in it.

My frame being bent would cause my tranny to squeak? I guess I can see that...but it progressively gets worse and I haven't taken the car on the mountain roads in a while. Sounds like the damn thing is about to fall out from the car.

 

I dunno, just a thought.

have u check the clutch master and slave ?

cuz I had a faulty clutch master just ate my JDM slave alive (300 bux gone )
