Wiring diagram for 6 speed
Hi
I'm looking for a Wiring diagram for the 6 speed high power model.
I've bought a Acumen Electronics DG8 Gear Indicator ( www.acumen-electronics.co.uk ) and this unit needs to be connected to the cars ( Speedometer ) speed sensor and the ( Tachometer ) Tacho pickup sensor.
So I was wondering if anybody had the wiring diagram for this part of the car at all.
I already have a wiring diagram for the automatic that has the pickup sensors going to the TCM, but I can't seem to find one for the 6 speed model.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rotaman

Here is the whole service manual:

Obviously, what you're looking for is in the 'Electrical' document.
Download each PDF file to your PC so you always have it.

Hi There
So far I have used Eccentric shaft posistion sensor as my Tacho pick up point, actually used the sensors return wire Yellow/Red which can be picked up at the PCM on Plug E2- wire point 2-X.
My speedo pick up was taken off the DSC-ABS wheel sensors. I used the Black/orange sensor return wire from the right front sensor, which is taken from the DSC/ABS plug on the front of the ABS block.
My neutral switch was also taken from the PCM plug E2- wire point 2-O.
I finished wiring it up today, and as yet have not taken the car for a run. I have turned the car on to make sure the DG8 Gear indicator actually turned on. So now I have to teach the DG8 how many gears the car has, and to do this I have to take the car for a drive.
I probably should have taken the speedo pick up from a rear DSC-ABS sensor, then I could have just jacked up the rear of the car and put it in gear and done the set up in my garage.
Still I'm not sure yet whether connecting to a couple of points at the PCM will cause any problems or not with error codes.
If it does I have other things to try.
I will let you know how I get on once I have taken the car for a drive.
Have fun
Regards
