brake job

My brakes are in need of servicing, I put it off as long as I could, but the time has arrived. I do my own work on the car, so I went shopping around for the parts. The pads I found at an autozone for a doable price, but found that autozone doesnt even offer the rotors. And then I went on a hunt to Napa, a small parts supplier, Advance Auto parts, as well as a Mazda dealer. What I found is that no one wanted to stock the rotors, I would have to wait a few days for them, and the going rate has been between 160-200 dollars per wheel. I went online and found a set for 365, but thats still a big chunk of change in lump. Has anyone else had better luck with this?

You can always get the Racing Brake rotors, which are $235 for the set over at Fluid Motorsports. Plus, they have curved vanes compared to the straight vanes of the OEM rotors, so they have much better cooling.

$235 is just for the fronts, the rears are another $210.

That is correct and our promotion is still running with 10% off all Racing Brake Orders.

So that is $400 for a complete set of Excellent Rotors.

$235 is still a good price for just the front rotors.

yeah i looked at fluid motorsports, ive been quite impressed with the developments they've made. The oil filter relocation is something i want to buy when I have spending money. It is down to fluid, or rx7store, which has a set of four for $365 drilled and slotted. Seems about the best deals I can find out there

I just bought rotors and pads from Fluid Motorsports, can't wait to get them.

I was looking at the rotors they have at rx7store, but they are a no-name brand (as far as I can tell), and drilling/slotting a no-name brand rotor worries me a little. Plus, they don't say anything about having curved vanes.

Never skimp on your brakes.

The FluidMS stocked Racing Brake Sport rotors are well worth the investment. As are Hawk Ceramic pads (quiet and low dust).
