whats up guys sorry if i posted something that was already up but i couldnt find it........ having some problems i see everyones pics with 18"s and 19"s and truthfully i have no clue which ones to get.... the 18s are cheaper becasue 19 is an oldball size but 19s look sick when u lower it...

and last i just wanted to know if lowering the 8 on springs will affect the strut life or anything else?

but here's for the second question: i don't really know much, but from what i read, by just lowering the springs, the strut life is gonna decrease, but that's not something you will notice in 5 years or so, ppl have had lowering springs and cars running over 200k miles and have no problems, but if it was up to me, i just wouldn't want to risk it

 

^well specifically for the 8, the oem strut's will last anywhere from 10-15k miles after lowering springs are installed. obviously this number will vary with how many miles were already on the car, and what type of driving you do, and what springs you got.

 

1. I picked 19's for my car but there are plenty of good 18' wheels out there. It really comes down to personal taste and how much you're willing to spend.

2. Adding lowering springs to the OEM struts will decrease their life. How much is a complete mystery. It depends on which spring you're putting on there.
I usually recommend people upgrade the strut at the same time (if they've got the $$$) since its' the same amount of work

 

I have 19s on my car and tein s tech springs as well as a body kit all around, and have no problem bottoming out, sometimes my tires will rub, but only if someone is in the backseat, and even then its nothing too bad...i think thats the answer that you were looking for. and as for the decrease of strut life, ross dawg and jedi are correct.

 

Go with the 18's if your looking for performance and cheaper tires. The 19's will look better/more aggressive, but they will cost more, and tires will cost more as well.
