Is this touch-up-able? Scratch

So my neighbor decided to hit my car last night trying to park...
Going to go get an estimate.. but just wondering, any ideas on how much this will cost?

Also, I was thinking about collecting the estimate money and just trying to repair it myself. Is this touchupable with kits like Langka? I'd rather not deal with body shops trying to blend.

Thanks

you can touch it up with the mazda touch up paint and a fine tip artist brush......it won't be perfect but will keep your eyes from staring at it. Honestly, just get it blended...That repair looks super easy. I could blend that bumper in 20 minutes and you would never know it was damaged. It shouldn't cost more than $225. But that's just me...other shops vary on price.

From what I can see, most of those dark marks are rubber trim (from the other guy's bumper/tire), which you can totally buff out with an abrasive polish / scratch-remover such as Meguiar's Scratch-X. Give it a go ($10?) before you you do anything else. The part above the clear corner that was hit looked like some of your paint came off. You can def. use the OEM touch-up paint and Langka for that. But maybe the Scratch-X may take that off too (if it happens to be the other guy's paint).

If you use touch up paint...just think of when you wash and wax your car. You'll come to that spot and it will look like **** up close. From far away no one will even notice, unless someone is walking around your car looking for imperfections - either that or their a painter/bodyman.

Just something to think about but IMO I'd get it blended.

One more estimate: 1025.91
Well, I'm a paint noob so I have no idea what they mean by this... but
Every single place I speak to say they can blend in the bumper, but they insist on repainting the whole fender. I don't know why, one of the shops says plastic is easier to work with?

$910, $970, $1025... all separate body shop estimates...

All of them say that if it was just the bumper, it would be ~$300-400, but because the fender was hit, it's substantially more?

Maybe a painter can chime in here... but it isn't coming out of my pocket so yeah.

I wish, except all the black marks there (except for the very very bottom scuffs) is primer showing. Definitely not just scuff marks, paint is flaked off

well that makes sense if the fender is damaged

if the fender is not damaged, they want to blend into the fender so they can match the color better...not really necessary, but many shops do this

I can get pretty close just by tinting the colors.

hmm. thanks

me and the guy settled @ 750
I had one more estimate @ 470 so we just averaged took the average of the highest + lowest. I think I might just touch it up myself with the Langka kit or something.
Thanks though
