What to do with stock wheels?
I recently put Stern ST-5's (Black w/ stainless lip 19x8.5 / 19x9.5) on my BB Rx-8. I have the stock wheels, with a little curb rash on two of the wheels(easily fixable with some work), but other than that they're in good condition. I have access to a powder coating setup and oven and was wondering what you guys would do. Should I clean them up, and re-powder coat them, or sell them as is with the rash? Or should I clean them up and sell them ready to be chromed or painted however ?
Not sure if it's new or what, but it's basically the same as Chrome dipping from what I've read. They dip it in stainless(304), then machine it afterwards. Same effect as chrome, not quite as bright, but a lot more durable.
Unfortunately I don't go to the track, my 8 is my everyday car and never have really been into the racing/track aspect of the cars.
