Exclamation ** Widebody in Progress **

Recently I was contracted to design a widebody for the RX-8 using carbon fiber and fiberglass. A reputable Japanese company with extensive experience in high quality carbon fiber products will be doing the construction. Most likely they will be reproducing additional replicas for the public market. I will be doing the computer drafting and or physical pencil and paper drawings to give to the company. Right now I have a few ideas and would like to ask the people most prone to buying a carbon fiber kit!

What would you like to see, what widebody kits do you like? Post pics!

Let's see your drawings, do you mean flaring out the back fenders like the old M kit for the BMW Z3? If done right it will certainly make the rx-8 look even meaner.

You will probably get better feedback by posting pics of your ideas then let everyone provide suggestions, feedback, etc

yes I have a few ideas, mainly I want the kit to provide functionality and look sporty. Similar to JGTC styling but keeping with the existing lines of the fenders.

IMO ..i would suggest going with something like the petit racing rear fenders...when those are on the FD ...you can accomodate up 13 inches wide...

Rear wide body kit looks all right , hard to tell the lines with all the colourfull advertising .

The front wide body kit is f...ugly sorry .

I personally would like to see a wider body kit on the rear of the rx8 only .

Yeah, try something like the side skirts and back bumber from the pics above, but IMO the front is too rounded. I like the front bumber from the AutoExe.

If I remember correctly, RMagic has a wide body kit. It costs around $5000. Check with JapanParts for info.

RMagics is more than $7K, Nakamora Racing has wide front fenders, and PanSpeed has wider front and rear fenders...
