what are you looking for?

Looks?

Performance?

Or a little bit of both?

If you want straight looks I would say go with 19's (anything from 19x8 to 19x10). They fill out the wheel well nicely and look pretty sick.

if you want straight performance get some light weight 17's (I think they look to small but if your going on the track thats what to get) and they can get very expensive (700 per rim w/o tire)

If you want something in the middle go with an 18x9 or something.

oh and by the way NO chrome....it just looks silly on the 8

And are you looking for rim suggestions or just sizes?

A lot of guys will think Chrome looks bad on the 8 but I understand why a woman would want chrome rims? They are shiney and you can see yourself in them. If done right they will have everyone happy.

If you do go by way of chrome (which I think is fine) I think you should stick with slim spokes that do not have a lot of dimensions - keep the look plain and tech. Think Terminator rather than Lil'Wayne.

Oh and BTW keeping chrome looking gleaming clean is a full time job. If you thought a black car was hard to keep clean, your chrome choice will give you double the work.

i think you need to look in the multimedia/pics section and figure out what styles you want. THEN go shopping for sizes, price ranges, etc.

Chrome is good.

And you said you were thinking of 18".

Sounds like you have an Auto matic with 16" stock wheels.

Is it me or if it werent for the pretty faced avi, the OP would have been totally flamed for such a general and variably opinionated question....

Anyway NOOOOOOO CHROME WHATS SO EVER!!!!

Like everything, Ive always been a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" you get cheap rims there gonna look and perform cheaply...

^ I bet your right rotr about the flaming

but cheap rims might be ok depending on the needs because there are some good looking cheap rims out there however I'm sure they wont perform worth anything due to an 80lb wheel lol.

Anyways we just need to wait untill Alexandriasrx8 responds with something cuz if not this is just hashing out what we like in a general sense and not providing any insight or direction.

And just one more time................no chrome I dont care what anyone on this thread has said you just cant have chrome rims on the rx8. I mean Ive seen good looking chrome rims and good looking rx8s just never good looking chrome rims on good looking rx8s
