Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric?

I've been considering these tires for quite some time to replace my stock Dunlop 8090's, now at 20k. However, I've done the requisite search and find no threads on them here.

They're top rated Max Summer by Tirerack.

I plan to go 245x40x18 on the stock 18x8 rims. Street use and more coupe appeal for me as opposed to track, etc. Price is not really a concern (never skimp on one's shoes).

I'm also considering Michelin Pilot Sport 2 and of course the quintessential Toyo Proxes T1R and Falken 452 tho'.

Comments/suggestions?

I too have always liked the GS-D3, especially its Toyo Proxes-like herringbone tread pattern, but the Asymmetric is its replacement. Newer/better?
