Yeah it's a repost.

Those people are so ignorant about our cars It makes me want to punch some of them in face for being so dumb. Then I'll tell them how a rotary engine works.

We suspect a clogged cat..or maybe insurance fraud. I'm pretty sure that was the conclusion of the original thread about it.

interior fire, probably electrical or a lit cigarette or something..

OBVIOUSLY not related to anything in the engine bay.

No the guy was having problems with the RX8. Nothing related to the fire got very frustrated and the way the fire happened and they way the owner posted lead us to belive insurance fraud.

Especially when someone who worked with car fires looked at the shots.

Is anybody else wondering why someone was taking pictures of the pictures on the monitor or whatever?

I'm curious how this whole thing resolved itself. I want to know if it was insurance fraud.

"Its called engine fire rotarys are known for this. My dad almost died when the 13b of us rx7 blew up and the flywheel came out doing about 15000 rpms there's still a hole in the road from when it happened 25 year ago lol"
