im just curious and impatient lol

im 19 got my rx8 in september of 08 i go to college and work part time. im some what dumbfounded lol by all the mods people do to their cars...i guess my question is how did you guys pay for it...i may have just created a thread that will get me no where w/ smart replies lol but its cool

i just wanted to know if everyone just patiently saved for the kit or is everyone on here rich motha fu**as lol

i dont race or anything im basically wanting a turbo for the fact to have one i guess...not to mention i have always wanted a car turboed

3500 to 6000 for a turbo seems way to far ahead for me to save for it idk if i should start selling drugs or what jk jk

and another thing im making payments on my car, i have had it for almost 7 months and i got 50000 miles on it...should i risk even doing this mod?

thanks
Joel

If your worrid about the cost of the kit then dont do it.

I did the install myself but if you cant do that then expect 2k for install /tune.
1k misc parts.
4k backup for if/when you blow your engine

A turbo'd car is a hole you throw money into. As for rich/save.. I started saving for my turbo as soon as I payed off the RX.

drugs. yes, drugs are the answer. isn't that how everyone makes a living?

my parents funded about 2/3rds when i first got the car, and i have since paid them back. i'm in college, but i take a semester off here and there to work up in alaska... and still no turbo. i say, wait until you have steady income where you can afford to replace the engine without having to resort to prostitution.

dude, you are stil in college, save your money, keep it in the bank, wait until the right time. it's not cheap, i am telling you , bcause you don't wanna get stuck in the middle of the project because you don't have money, or you cut half job because you don't have money, and you blow your engine. be patience. save your money for college...my company pays for my college, that's why i can play with the car, otherwise, i will keep my money for my life and college. just some advice

Ask for a personal loan for some random stuff like a new laptop tires insurance blah blah blah, you stand a better chance of getting it that way then saying I want a turbo.

Thats what I did to get my honda shadow but then again I had to have a cosigner and put up my 2000 bonneville just in case I could pay it so they could take it.

I'm in college to so just try to do what I'm doing. I save whenever I can and I'm up to about an extra 1500 right now and go for the Pettit SC kit because they will install it and have you ready with everything you need including a tune for 7400.
